Ferrymead Aeronautical Society

Ferrymead Aeronautical Society is a volunteer aviation collection within Christchurch’s Ferrymead Heritage Park, preserving New Zealand civil and military aviation history through real aircraft, helicopters and technical artefacts. Its collection includes ten fixed-wing aircraft such as a Vickers Viscount, de Havilland Vampire, Mosquito and Lockheed Hudson, seven complete or near-complete helicopters, cockpit sections, airport vehicles, engines, memorabilia and aviation literature. Visitors can see the displays during Ferrymead Heritage Park opening hours; workshop tours and closer access are arranged with the society.
