The 1 Wing Historical Centre at Beauvechain Air Base preserves the airfield’s history from 1935 to the present, with particular attention to Belgian fighter squadrons from 1946 to 1996. Its aircraft and interpretation include Spitfire, Mosquito, Meteor, Hunter, CF-100, F-104G, F-16, Mirage V, MiG-21, Fouga and Alpha Jet types, plus engines, service vehicles, uniforms, a scale base model and wartime/Cold War memorabilia. The volunteer-run centre occupies the former De Waersegger farm and offers limited public and group access; confirm the current opening dates and appointment terms with the operator before travelling.
