Fleet Air Arm Museum Nowra

Fleet Air Arm Museum Nowra is the Royal Australian Navy public naval-aviation museum at HMAS Albatross, the largest operational establishment and only air station of the Royal Australian Navy. Since 1948, the Fleet Air Arm has provided naval air capability; the museum holds more than 30 aircraft from the early twentieth century through the modern era, alongside technology, models, clothing, personal memorabilia, audio-visual displays, a main exhibition hall, two art galleries and a research archive. The Navy currently lists public hours Friday–Sunday 10:00–16:00 and public holidays 10:00–16:00; during NSW school holidays it is open Tuesday–Sunday 10:00–16:00. It is closed on 25 December, 26 December and 1 January. Admission is free; children must be accompanied by an adult. Group bookings are available Monday–Thursday for Defence, Defence-allied groups, schools and tertiary education providers by emailing faam.admin@defence.gov.au. The museum supports disability access with lift access to the second floor, wheelchairs and registered assistance animals.
