Flugplatzmuseum Cottbus is a volunteer nonprofit museum on the former Cottbus-Nord airfield, preserving 90 years of Lusatian aviation history from the 1913 airfield origins through Focke-Wulf production, East German NVA/LSK-LV aviation and Bundeswehr Army Aviation. Its 20,000-square-metre outdoor collection includes more than 20 aircraft and helicopters, ground-support equipment, vehicles and other military technology; indoor displays add uniforms, equipment, models, photographs and documents. By arrangement, visitors can sit at the controls of selected jets or helicopters. Public access and current calendar or accessibility arrangements follow operator guidance.
