Flugplatzmuseum Welzow is a specialist museum in a preserved former military-workshop building at Spremberg-Welzow airfield, documenting the site’s changing use from civil airfield in 1927, through German Wehrmacht training and operations from 1935 to 1945, to a Soviet military airfield after 1945. Hundreds of exhibits explain local aviation, military and social history through photographs, documents, equipment and artefacts. Visits and guided or school programmes are arranged with the airfield operator; confirm current visitor and accessibility arrangements before travel. Visitor address: Zum Verkehrslandeplatz 1, 03119 Welzow, Germany.
