Gando Air Base
Gando Air Base is a Spanish Air and Space Force installation beside Gran Canaria Airport. It served as the staging airfield for the Stargazer L-1011 that carried the Pegasus XL vehicle for Spain's MINISAT-01 mission on 21 April 1997; the rocket was released over the Atlantic south of Gran Canaria.
