George Observatory is the Houston Museum of Natural Science's public astronomy facility inside Brazos Bend State Park near Needville, Texas. Public Saturday Stargazing runs year-round on timed evening slots (roughly 21:00 and 22:00 from mid-March to early November, and 19:00, 20:00 and 21:00 in the darker season), weather permitting; the current visit page lists Saturday hours of 21:00–23:00 with last entry at 22:00. Tickets are advance-only at $13 for ages 3 and up, with children under 2 free; the Brazos Bend State Park entry fee is separate, and tickets are not sold onsite. Programming includes the observation deck, constellation laser tours, telescope domes, camera-assisted and eyepiece viewing, the 36-inch research telescope, and indoor exhibits; dome and eyepiece access depends on availability and weather. In overcast conditions HMNS presents a Cloudy Night Program, while rain may cancel the event. Field trips, private groups and Expedition Center missions require advance booking.
