Gifu-Kakamigahara Aerospace Museum

Gifu-Kakamigahara Aerospace Museum (Sorahaku) is Japan’s public museum dedicated to aviation and space, tracing Kakamigahara’s aircraft-manufacturing history and Japan’s aerospace development. Its collection presents aircraft and helicopters, including the world’s sole surviving Kawasaki Ki-61 Hien, full-size models of the International Space Station’s Kibo module and spacecraft and probe displays, engines and aerospace artifacts, plus flight simulators and hands-on workshops. The accessible museum campus offers elevators, wheelchair-compatible facilities and loan wheelchairs; visitor arrangements follow the operator.
