Givatayim Observatory

Givatayim Observatory is Israel's oldest public observatory, founded in the late 1960s by Givatayim Municipality and the Israeli Astronomical Association. The current municipal visitor page lists recurring public guided visits on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 19:00, 19:30, 20:00 and 20:30; the programme has three stations: an introductory astronomy talk, a planetarium presentation, and telescope observing subject to season and weather. The observatory also hosts organized groups, school and youth activities, courses and special astronomical events.
