Greenwood Military Aviation Museum

Greenwood Military Aviation Museum at 14 Wing Greenwood preserves and interprets Canadian military aviation through indoor collections, an airpark of approximately ten aircraft, flight education, restoration and remembrance. The Airpark’s WWII, Cold War and search-and-rescue story includes an Avro Lancaster, Canadair CP-107 Argus and Lockheed CC-130E Hercules; volunteers also undertake major work such as the restoration of a Bristol Bolingbroke. Indoor displays and stories cover maritime patrol, anti-submarine, training and search-and-rescue aviation, with engines, artifacts and memorials. The Ron Hill Memorial Library adds free research access to local Greenwood and RCAF/RAF aviation history during regular museum hours. The museum is just outside the main gate to CFB Greenwood in the Canex Mall at 1 Ward Road, Greenwood, Nova Scotia. The current operator plan lists typical summer hours for June–September as Tuesday–Saturday 10:00–16:00 and winter hours for October–May as Wednesday–Saturday 10:00–16:00; the homepage currently displays Tuesday–Saturday 10:00–16:00 with Sunday–Monday closed, so confirm unexpected closures before travel. Admission is free, and guided museum and aircraft tours should be arranged in advance; dedicated aircraft tours and special events commonly run during the summer.
