Guam Remote Ground Terminal

Guam Remote Ground Terminal (GRGT) is NASA’s operational Space Network ground terminal on Guam. Commissioned in 1998 to close the Indian Ocean zone of exclusion, it relays Tracking and Data Relay Satellite communications between low-Earth-orbiting missions and ground control; NASA describes its radome-protected antennas and continuing role in near-Earth communications and satellite-data response. This is controlled federal communications infrastructure rather than a public visitor destination: access requires advance authorization and current security, installation, and Guam logistics guidance, so no routine public access should be assumed.
