Guam Remote Ground Terminal

NASA’s Guam Remote Ground Terminal (GRGT) is an operational Space Network ground terminal on Guam. Commissioned in 1998 to close the Indian Ocean zone of exclusion, it supports Tracking and Data Relay Satellite downlink and uplink and relays communications between low-Earth-orbiting missions and ground control. NASA describes radome-protected antennas at the site; its station table identifies an 11-m Space-to-Ground Link Terminal and a 4.5-m end-to-end test antenna supporting S-band and Ku-band TDRS tracking, telemetry and command links. NASA’s April 2026 material continues to identify GRGT as a key facility for relaying and processing NASA satellite data.
