Guiana Space Centre

Guiana Space Centre (Centre spatial guyanais) is Europe’s spaceport in French Guiana, created in 1964 and operational since the first Véronique sounding-rocket launch in 1968. CNES/ESA’s active base supports Ariane 6 and Vega-C launches, launch preparation, tracking and related technical operations. Public access is organised through the official visitor portal: free three-hour facility tours depart Monday–Saturday at 08:00 and 13:00, require booking at least 48 business hours ahead, and may change route or be suspended the day before, day of and day after launches. The separate Guyaspace Expérience is open Monday–Saturday 09:00–18:00 and the first Sunday of the month, with tickets and a 2026 calendar; it is accessible to people with reduced mobility.
