Haute-Provence Observatory is a CNRS and Aix-Marseille University research site spanning astronomy, atmospheric science, and ecology. Its 1.93-metre telescope enabled the 1995 discovery of the first confirmed exoplanet orbiting a Sun-like star. Current advance-ticketed public tours led by Centre d'Astronomie mediators enter that telescope's dome, while freely accessible climate and biodiversity trails interpret the observatory's atmospheric and forest research. Visitors must arrive at the observatory with tickets purchased in advance; there is no on-site ticket sale.
