Huntsville International Air and Space Port

Huntsville International Air & Space Port is the spaceport capability at Huntsville International Airport, managed by the Port of Huntsville and Huntsville Madison County Airport Authority. The FAA lists reentry site operator license RSO 22-001 through May 13, 2027; HSV became the first commercial U.S. airport licensed to land Sierra Space’s Dream Chaser in 2022. The current 10,001 x 150 ft East Runway (18L/36R) is the horizontal orbital-reentry site, while the 12,600 x 150 ft West Runway (18R/36L) is the primary air-traffic runway with Cat II ILS; the facility also has ATC, ARFF and FBO Jet-A services. The Port announced full East Runway restoration on April 24, 2026, and says the spaceport is part of a broader airport, intermodal and Jetplex complex. This is an operational airport and reentry facility, not a general walk-in visitor attraction; confirm airport or spaceport access before travel.
