INPE São José dos Campos Headquarters

INPE’s São José dos Campos headquarters is Brazil’s principal space-research campus at Avenida dos Astronautas 1,758. The site brings together space and atmospheric science, Earth observation, meteorology and space engineering, including the Integration and Test Laboratory (LIT) for satellite and payload assembly, integration, environmental qualification and functional testing, and the Satellite Control Center for spacecraft tracking and control. INPE’s current visitor program offers free visits to the São José dos Campos unit by prior arrangement for the public and institutions; visitors must use the approved route and identification process. This is a working research campus rather than an unrestricted walk-in attraction. Confirm current appointment and entry instructions with INPE before travel.
