International Women’s Air & Space Museum

The International Women’s Air & Space Museum (IWASM) at Burke Lakefront Airport in Cleveland preserves and interprets women’s contributions across aviation and space. Its collection includes artifacts, photographs, articles, textiles, artwork and papers, supported by the Fay Gillis Wells Research Center; exhibits connect pioneers such as Katharine Wright, Women Airforce Service Pilots, early women air racers, women astronaut candidates, Sally Ride and other aerospace leaders. Admission is free, and the terminal exhibits are open for self-guided visits daily 08:00–20:00. The museum office, gift shop and research center are open Monday–Friday 10:00–16:00; the museum closes on major holidays except Labor Day and on Cleveland Browns home-game days, so confirm current visitor arrangements before travel. Guided tours cost $10 per guest, last about 60 minutes, and should be scheduled by phone in advance. The museum is in the public Burke Lakefront Airport terminal; use the accessible Main Lobby entrance. Curbside parking is free when available, while the south paid lot charges $7 per day.
