Intrepid Museum

Intrepid Museum is a public aerospace, naval and maritime-history destination aboard the National Historic Landmark aircraft carrier Intrepid at Manhattan Pier 86. Permanent experiences include the carrier, Space Shuttle Enterprise, Submarine Growler and a collection of 26 historic aircraft, with exhibitions interpreting naval aviation, the space program, the Cold War and New York’s maritime history. Education programmes, oral histories, accessibility tools and sensory guidance help visitors explore the ship, aircraft and space pavilion; the historic vessel and flight deck have varied access routes. Current spring and summer guidance (April 1–September 30) lists Monday–Friday 10:00–17:00 with last entry at 16:00, and weekends and holidays 10:00–18:00 with last entry at 17:00. Fall and winter guidance (October 1–March 31) lists daily 10:00–17:00 with last entry at 16:00. The museum is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day; hours can change for special events, capacity and exhibition closures.
