Israeli Air Force Museum

Israeli Air Force Museum at Hatzerim preserves the history of the Israeli Air Force with fighters, transports, helicopters, captured enemy aircraft, air-defense systems, weapons and artifacts. An official IDF museum profile describes more than 140 aircraft and air-defense systems, including captured Soviet MiGs, a central hangar with more than 20 captured attack helicopters, and the Israeli Lavi prototype. The museum was created in 1977 and opened to the public in 1991; IDF-described guided tours are delivered by serving soldiers in Hebrew, Spanish, English, French and Russian. Current access conditions should be confirmed with the museum because it is beside an active air base.
