JAXA Chofu Aerospace Center

JAXA Chofu Aerospace Center in Tokyo is an aeronautics research and development campus with wind tunnels, aeroengine and combustion facilities, research aircraft, simulators, a supercomputer, and laboratories for advanced aircraft and propulsion. Its public visitor offering is the Exhibition Hall, where aerospace research, testing and experimental aircraft are introduced through exhibits, models, videos and interactive displays. JAXA’s current visitor guidance lists free self-guided entry without advance booking, 10:00–17:00; it closes Sundays, Mondays, national holidays and December 29–January 3, with additional maintenance, event or short-notice closures possible, so check the current calendar. More extensive guided group and facility tours require advance arrangements and may depend on the testing schedule.
