JAXA Earth Observation Center

JAXA Earth Observation Center in Hatoyama, Saitama receives satellite data through two large parabolic antennas, processes and archives it, and distributes imagery for environmental monitoring, disaster response, natural-resource surveys and research. Its free exhibition hall presents Earth-observation satellite models, satellite imagery, quizzes and remote-sensing technology. JAXA visitor guidance lists public exhibition hours of 10:00–16:00; it is closed Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, year-end holidays and irregular maintenance days. Weekday guided work-site tours run from 10:00 to 16:00 by advance booking for groups. Free parking serves about 30 cars, and wheelchairs and strollers can enter the exhibition hall.
