JAXA’s Ogasawara Downrange Station on Chichijima, Tokyo, was established in 1975 as a NASDA facility. Its radio telemetry equipment tracks launch vehicles from Tanegashima and Uchinoura, monitors flight path and status for flight safety, and sends acquired data to Tanegashima Space Center in real time over a dedicated line. The station includes first and second telemeter systems supporting H-IIA and Epsilon launches, plus B and A telemeters supporting H3; JAXA notes that H-IIA support ended with launch vehicle No. 47. JAXA’s current field-center directory marks the station visitors not accepted, so this is operational infrastructure rather than a public exhibition or routine visitor stop. Location: Kuwanokiyama, Chichijima, Ogasawara-mura, Tokyo 100-2101, Japan; phone +81-4998-2-2522.
