JAXA Space Dome

JAXA Space Dome is the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency’s free public exhibition hall at Tsukuba Space Center, with Rocket Square’s full-size H-II rocket and a self-guided visitor route. Current galleries include Dream Port, a large LED curved vision, satellite communications and positioning, Earth observation, newer satellite missions, Kibo and HTV human spaceflight, LE-7A and LE-5 engines and launch systems, lunar and planetary science, space-debris tracking, and foundational research and development. Japanese and English audio guides are available, and free staff-led exhibition guides run at 10:00, 11:00, 13:00, 14:00, 15:00 and 16:00 when operations permit; the Hayabusa2 full-scale model display has ended. JAXA’s current visitor guidance lists 10:00–17:00 opening, free entry, and irregular, maintenance and year-end closures, so check the live calendar. Guided facility tours are separate, paid, fully web-reserved, and may change or pause. The Space Dome supports wheelchair and stroller visits, guide, hearing and service dogs, accessible toilets, changing facilities and a nursing room; pets are not permitted.
