Karelia Aviation Museum near Lappeenranta Airport preserves South Karelia aviation history in two exhibition halls maintained by the Aviation Museum Association of South-East Finland. The displays include Finnish fighter aircraft such as MiG-21 F, MiG-21BIS and MiG-21, along with aviation gauges, turbine and bomber parts from Second World War air battles, MiG flight equipment and other aviation exhibits. The volunteer-run airport-side museum’s seasonal opening and appointment arrangements can change, so confirm the current visitor access with the operator before travelling.
