KARI Goheung Aviation Test Center

Korea Aerospace Research Institute's National Comprehensive Flight Performance Test Center, also known as Goheung Aviation Center, is a dedicated aerospace test facility in Goheung Bay, Jeollanam-do. Completed in 2002, it supports system integration, ground testing, flight testing, and component performance evaluation for manned and unmanned aircraft, navigation equipment, drones, and developmental aircraft. The operational site includes 700 m and 1,200 m runways, two taxiways, test hangars for airships, small aircraft and UAVs, a drop-test hangar, flight-monitoring systems, and an open-air UAM demonstration zone. KARI says the center is used by external academic and industry organizations as well as the institute; its published shared-use application includes advance flight-test and entry procedures, so confirm access with the operator before travelling.
