KARI Satellite & Space Exploration Test Center

KARI Satellite & Space Exploration Test Center is the Korea Aerospace Research Institute’s dedicated satellite assembly and space-environment test facility at 169-84, Gwahak-ro, Yuseong-gu, Daejeon. KARI describes 25,970 m² of ISO Class 7-or-better cleanroom infrastructure with assembly and precision-alignment, launch-environment, orbital-environment and electromagnetic-compatibility laboratories for satellites, spacecraft and launch vehicles. The launch-environment laboratories reproduce launch vibration, shock and acoustic loads; the orbital-environment laboratories include a large thermal-vacuum chamber with an 8 m effective diameter and 10 m length, alongside optical-payload and smaller thermal-vacuum chambers.
