Kumasi Fort and Military Museum, also known as the Ghana Armed Forces Museum, occupies Uaddara Barracks in Kumasi. It traces the Gold Coast Regiment and Ghana Armed Forces through weapons, colours, medals, armoured cars, anti-aircraft guns, photographs and portraits. The fort was converted into a museum in 1952–1953. Its buildings also interpret the Asante resistance led by Yaa Asantewaa and the siege of 1900; a related British military cemetery lies about 200 metres northwest. Ghana Museums and Monuments Board lists visits Monday–Saturday 08:00–17:00, excluding public holidays, and a guided fort tour at GH¢5. Confirm current charges, barracks access and visitor arrangements before travel. Visitor location: Kumasi Fort, Uaddara Barracks, Adum, Kumasi, Ashanti Region, Ghana.
