Launch Complex 14

Launch Complex 14 (SLC-14) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station is a historic government launch complex where Project Mercury’s Friendship 7 launched John Glenn in 1962; NASA records Mercury-Atlas 8 among its missions. Space Launch Delta 45 allocated SLC-14 to Stoke Space in 2023, and a 2026 draft Environmental Assessment proposes a real-property agreement and reactivation for Stoke’s Nova launch program, including new facilities, ground support and launch operations. The blockhouse was restored as a meeting and event space, but the secured installation is not a general walk-in visitor attraction; access and any future launch activity require current Space Force and mission authorization.
