Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center is an operational commercial launch complex leased and operated by SpaceX. Its heritage is rooted in Apollo and Space Shuttle launches; SpaceX currently describes the site as supporting Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy commercial missions, human-spaceflight and space-station-resupply launches, National Security Space Launch, and Starlink missions. NASA’s current environmental planning also covers Falcon 9 operations at LC-39A. LC-39A is a secure launch facility, not a general walk-in visitor destination: the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex currently states there is no public launch viewing for LC-39A because of safety restrictions, and official-business access requires Kennedy authorization.
