Liberty Science Center

Liberty Science Center is a nonprofit interactive science and technology center in Liberty State Park, Jersey City, with hands-on galleries, live animal and Hudson River science, STEM learning and the Jennifer Chalsty Planetarium, whose 89-foot dome is among the world’s largest. Planetarium presentations are an add-on to general admission; current shows, hours, capacity and advance-ticket guidance change, so check the operator’s live visit information before travel. LSC describes the building as ADA-compliant, with a level entrance, wheelchair-accessible public areas and restrooms, wheelchairs at the Welcome Desk and elevators serving each floor and the planetarium/theatre. Induction loops, FM devices, limited captioning, sensory maps and free sensory bags support different access needs; service animals are welcome, but pets and emotional-support animals are not.
