LIGO Livingston Observatory

LIGO Livingston Observatory is the Louisiana half of the Advanced LIGO gravitational-wave detector network and the home of its Science Education Center. Monthly drop-in Science Saturdays combine more than forty interactive exhibits with guided access to the control room and views along a four-kilometre interferometer arm, while reserved school and community programmes connect visitors with working scientists and engineers.
