Loring Air Museum

Loring Air Museum is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit museum in Limestone preserving the history of Loring Air Force Base and the men and women who served there. At the former strategic-air-base site, exhibits and artifacts connect Limestone/Loring’s B-36-era origins, later Strategic Air Command bomber and aerial-refueling operations, and the base’s northern Maine community history. The volunteer-staffed museum lists summer public hours as Saturday 11:00–15:00 and Sunday 12:00–15:00, but entry depends on volunteer availability; weekday visits are only possible when a volunteer is available, and the operator advises visitors to plan accordingly.
