Maine Air Museum

Maine Air Museum, operated by the Maine Aviation Historical Society, preserves Maine aviation history from early ballooning and barnstorming through civil, commercial, military and recreational flying and space travel. Its displays and archives occupy a former Cold War missile-assembly and maintenance facility at Bangor International Airport, with artifacts, photographs, stories and aircraft-history interpretation. The operator says the museum is open for the 2026 season on Saturdays 10:00–16:00 and Sundays 12:00–16:00, and is generally open annually from the first weekend in June through the last weekend in September. Admission is $10 for adults; active-duty military and families and children under 18 are free, and credit cards are accepted.
