MAPS Air Museum

MAPS Air Museum is an internationally known Northeast Ohio aviation-history museum operated by the Military Aviation Preservation Society, a nonprofit founded in 1990. Its collection includes military and civil aircraft acquired from private individuals and government collections, restoration projects, vehicles, uniforms and artifacts, with educational displays, interactive exhibits, a Gallery of Heroes, the Fallen Feathers memorial, historical archives, the Louise Timken Library & Research Center and an Ohio Military Museum room. The operator’s 2026-onward normal public hours are Tuesday–Saturday 09:00–16:30 and Sunday 11:30–16:00, with Mondays closed; it closes on Easter, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day. Plan at least two hours, or three to four hours for the full collection; many aircraft are outdoors and there is no café, but vending machines are available. On-site parking is free, and buses or large RVs should be pre-scheduled. Small-group guided tours are free when a volunteer guide is available; groups of 15 or more should schedule in advance.
