Maspalomas Station

Maspalomas Station is INTA’s operational Canary Islands Space Center satellite tracking and ground station at Maspalomas, Gran Canaria, Spain. INTA describes the site as a station specialized in Earth-observation satellite tracking and data reception, including Cluster II and missions or satellites from NASA, ESA, JAXA and other agencies, and as part of the Cospas-Sarsat system. The current INTA record documents a 15 m antenna capable of receiving S- and X-band signals. ESA’s historical station record describes telemetry, tracking and command, ranging and Doppler support, S-band transmission, no-break power, and cooperation supporting ESA, EUMETSAT, JAXA, Cospas-Sarsat and Cluster; ESA states that its operating responsibility transferred to European industry in 2017, so that technical page is not treated as the current operator record. The antenna location follows ESA’s published coordinates; INTA’s current address is preserved. This is controlled operational infrastructure rather than a public visitor attraction: arrange current permissions with INTA before field planning.
