Maspalomas Station

INTA’s Centro Espacial de Canarias (CEC), also known as Maspalomas Station, is a satellite communications facility in Maspalomas, Gran Canaria. INTA says the station tracks satellites and receives their data; its 15-metre antenna can receive S- and X-band signals, and the site supports missions and satellites from NASA, ESA, JAXA and other agencies. INTA’s organizational description assigns the CEC operation and maintenance of tracking, telemetry and telecommand ground stations, space-data acquisition, archiving, processing, validation and distribution, customer-equipment hosting, and COSPAS-SARSAT programme management.
