McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center

The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center is a nonprofit Concord science museum and astronaut memorial honoring Christa McAuliffe, the first Teacher in Space, and Alan Shepard, the first American in space. Its 45,000-square-foot visitor experience includes interactive astronomy, aviation, Earth and space exhibits, a full-size Mercury-Redstone rocket, Science Playground, observatory, full-dome digital planetarium, and on- and off-site education programmes. General admission covers the exhibit galleries and playground; planetarium shows are a separate add-on.
