Metheringham Airfield Visitor Centre

Metheringham Airfield Visitor Centre is an accredited volunteer museum preserving RAF Metheringham, its 106 Squadron Bomber Command story and the people who served there. Original wartime buildings—including the ration store, gymnasium and shelters—now hold photographs, letters, logbooks, uniforms, aircraft parts, escape-and-evasion equipment, crew stories and a memorial garden. The Dakota Hangar houses Douglas C-47A KG651, restored as a 1944 RAF Dakota that visitors can enter, including the cockpit by steps, alongside a 1943 Willys Jeep, glider and airfield displays. The centre supports public, group and school learning; opening, admission, aircraft access and accessibility arrangements follow the operator’s current visitor guidance. Visitor address: Martin Moor, Metheringham, Lincoln LN4 3WF, United Kingdom.
