Mills Observatory

Mills Observatory is the historic public observatory on Dundee Balgay Hill, gifted to the city in 1935. Its dome houses staff-assisted telescopes, astronomy displays and planetarium programmes, while a public viewing platform and clear-weather night-sky sessions extend the visit; entry and telescope use are free, with donations welcome. The operator provides a small car park with two accessible spaces. Normal public opening is currently closed following the 2025–26 winter season, which ran from October 2025 to March 2026; the operator says it will reopen on 1 October 2026.
