Misawa Aviation & Science Museum

Misawa Aviation & Science Museum is a public aerospace destination beside Misawa Airport that connects Aomori aviation history with hands-on science and space learning. Its Aviation Zone presents real aircraft and the restored Miss Veedol, the first aircraft to complete a nonstop trans-Pacific flight, alongside Japan’s first production YS-11 passenger aircraft, the Koken-ki research aircraft and roughly 800 aircraft models. The adjacent Misawa Sky Park adds Japan–US military aircraft for outdoor viewing, while Science and Space zones offer flight simulators, wind-tunnel and other interactive experiments, a science workshop and space exhibits. Visitors can board selected aircraft and explore family-oriented learning areas; current programmes, access arrangements and accessibility support follow the operator’s guidance.
