Mount Kent Observatory is the only professional research observatory in Queensland, a dark-sky University of Southern Queensland facility supporting the NASA Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite through the MINERVA-Australis 0.7-metre array. Its instruments also contribute to the Stellar Observations Network Group, Shared Skies remote observing, exoplanet and stellar research, student training, education and Global Fireball Network outreach. The university campus is not open for unrestricted public visits; public engagement occurs through UniSQ outreach, events and remote programmes. Confirm current outreach and access arrangements before travel.
