Mount Lemmon SkyCenter is the University of Arizona Steward Observatory public astronomy and science-learning facility on the roughly 9,100-foot summit of Mount Lemmon. SkyNights uses the 32-inch Schulman Telescope and other large dedicated public telescopes for guided night observing; daytime tours introduce active research, solar telescopes and the mountain environment, while Astronomer Nights offer extended observing and astrophotography. The site is gated and reached by mountain roads; programs are reservation-based and weather-sensitive, and accessibility accommodations should be arranged in advance. The outdoor setting may involve walking between buildings and boarding a shuttle; no strenuous activity is required and seating is provided in most areas. Confirm current program and meeting instructions before travel.
