Musée de l'Aviation Clément Ader

The Musée de l’Aviation Clément Ader is a volunteer-run aeronautical museum on Corbas airfield south of Lyon, preserving French aviation heritage from 1908 to the present. Its aircraft area presents restored national-heritage and military aircraft including Mirage IV-P, Mirage III and 2000, Alizé, Jaguar, Spitfire and a Concorde test section; other spaces hold about 600 donated models and dioramas, roughly 40 piston, turbojet, rocket and space engines, and equipment and photographs from Lyon Mont Verdun Air Base 942. Restoration work includes a Mirage IV-P classified as a historic monument and the Atelier du Patrimoine Aéronautique Vivant label. Education includes the Brevet d’Initiation Aéronautique and student training. Visits are guided only rather than self-guided, bringing visitors close to the aircraft and cockpit experiences when conditions permit; check the operator for current schedule, exceptional closures, group booking and accessibility details.
