Museo Aeronáutico del Perú is the Peruvian Air Force museum founded in 1959 in Castillo Rospigliosi, a historic 1929 building in Lima’s Santa Beatriz district. It collects, preserves and interprets Peruvian and world aviation history through aircraft-history documents, photographs, personal effects, uniforms, models and other objects connected with aviation pioneers and military service. Peru’s Ministry of Culture recognizes the museum’s Pedro Paulet Mostajo documentary collection and 22 Peruvian Air Force movable heritage objects as national cultural heritage. Guided visits, a library, auditorium and research resources support public and educational interpretation; current opening, access and assistance arrangements follow Ministry and museum guidance.
