Museo Aeronáutico y del Espacio FAE

Museo Aeronáutico y del Espacio FAE is Ecuador’s Air Force museum at Base Aérea Mariscal Sucre in Quito, formally established on 25 October 1986 after a 1972 collecting initiative. Its collection preserves FAE aviation history through full-size and scale aircraft, uniforms, photographs, documents, flags, equipment and more than 100 aviation artefacts; the adjoining static park displays former Ecuadorian Air Force aircraft. Educational visits connect aviation history with science, technology and national defense. Public access is guided and arranged by advance reservation through the FAE; visitor arrangements and base-security requirements can change, so contact the operator before travel.
