Museo Avión de Pirayú preserves Paraguay’s Lockheed L-188C Electra, registration ZP-CBY, a rare surviving witness to the country’s civil and military aviation history. The aircraft belonged to Líneas Aéreas Paraguayas and also formed part of the Paraguayan Air Force fleet; Paraguay’s national tourism authority highlights its 1973 presidential diplomatic flight and presents the preserved airliner as an open-to-the-public museum where visitors can see its technical features, operating history and national significance.
