Museo Francesco Baracca

Museo Francesco Baracca is Lugo’s municipal memorial and aviation-history museum in the home of Francesco Baracca, Italy’s leading First World War flying ace and a pioneer of military flight. Its collection of more than 500 historical and technical items includes Baracca memorabilia, uniforms, documents and the 1917 SPAD VII fighter associated with his victories, alongside the Baldini Collection of First World War postcards and educational, archive and multimedia resources. Current restoration/expansion work and visit arrangements follow the municipal museum’s live guidance.
