Museo Nacional Aeronáutico y del Espacio

Chile’s Museo Nacional Aeronáutico y del Espacio, operated by the Dirección General de Aeronáutica Civil, preserves and interprets Chilean and international aviation and space heritage in Cerrillos. Its permanent collection includes more than 90 aircraft, with 35 declared National Monuments, alongside combat jets, historic aircraft, engines, photographs, documents, weapons, models and a Space Room covering observation and exploration; galleries also address women in aviation and national aeronautical history. The museum’s educational mission, conservation work and aeronautical library support public understanding of Chile’s aerospace development; current access and visitor arrangements follow DGAC guidance.
