Museum of Mountain Flying

The Museum of Mountain Flying in Missoula preserves the history of mountain flying in Montana and the Northern Rockies, especially the Johnson Flying Service, through aircraft, aviation artifacts, smokejumper and backcountry-flying stories, a library and a gift shop. Public access is seasonal, generally daily 10:00–16:00 MST when open, or by appointment; check the operator for the current calendar. Admission is ticketed and current terms are published by the museum. The museum is at 5843 Museum Way, Missoula, Montana 59808, on the east end of Missoula Airport; visitors should use the airport entrance and follow Frontage Road and museum signs. Tours and appointments can be arranged through the museum.
