Narromine Aviation Museum

Narromine Aviation Museum, officially opened in October 2002 by pioneer aviatrix Nancy-Bird Walton, tells nearly a century of aviation on one of Australia’s most historic aerodromes, home to Australia’s oldest regional aero club and a Second World War No. 5 Elementary Flying Training School. Its volunteer collection includes the world’s first flyable replica of the 1907 Wright Flyer A, the 1938 Corben Super Ace, the 1953 Venture glider, a Sabre available by arrangement, aircraft, photographs, documents, the Narromine Aero Club scrapbook, audiovisual interpretation and a 200-seat auditorium. The museum is open daily 10:00–16:00 except Tuesdays; admission is adults $12, pensioners/seniors/high-school students $8, primary-school students $5, and groups of 15 or more $8 per person.
