Naval Air Station Wildwood Aviation Museum

Naval Air Station Wildwood Aviation Museum at Cape May Airport in Cape May, New Jersey preserves historic World War II Hangar #1, which was assembled in 1942 and served NAS Wildwood’s dive-bomber training mission. The nonprofit restored the building after acquiring it in 1997; it now presents more than 25 historic airplanes, jets and helicopters, interactive STEM exhibits, select cockpits and an air-traffic-control tower, and memorializes 42 naval aviators who died during training. Current visitor hours are March–December daily 10:00–16:00 and January–February Monday–Friday 10:00–16:00; the operator lists closures on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and December 31, 2026 through January 3, 2027. Admission is $16 for adults, $12 for children ages 3–12, free for children under 3, active-duty military and members; veterans receive a $2 discount and military dependents pay regular admission. Free parking and wheelchair access are available. Guided group tours can be booked ahead. Hangar #1 is not climate-controlled, so dress for conditions.
