NASA Stennis Space Center

NASA’s John C. Stennis Space Center in south Mississippi, established in 1961, is NASA’s primary and America’s largest multiuser rocket-propulsion test site and a federal city serving NASA, the Department of Defense, academia and commercial aerospace. Its stands and test complexes support RS-25, Space Launch System and Artemis propulsion; current commercial work includes Rocket Lab’s Archimedes Test Complex at the A-3 Test Complex for Neutron engine development, qualification and acceptance testing, and a 2026 NASA-Blue Origin agreement for New Glenn second-stage hot-fire testing at B-2. Stennis also advances autonomous systems, Earth and ocean science and range operations. The INFINITY Science Center serves as the public visitor gateway, but NASA says Stennis does not host public tours and regular INFINITY bus tours have ended; periodic windshield tours, public test viewings and other events are announced separately. Active test areas remain access-controlled. Confirm visitor hours and any test-area restrictions before travel.
